Fort Langley Cranberry Festival

The 15th Annual Fort Langley Cranberry Festival
Saturday, October 8th – 9 am to 5 pm
Come celebrate our proud berry history at the 15th Annual Fort Langley Cranberry Festival on Saturday, October 9th. The fun starts at 9 am with a pancake breakfast and continues right through the day with activities for the whole family. There are contests, live music on the Main Stage, cooking demos, a fashion show and much more! Don’t forget to stroll down to the Bedford Channel to watch The Fort Langley Canoe Club races.
One of the highlights of the Cranberry Festival is the marvelous selection of products from our 80+ market vendors whether you are looking for jewelry, specialty candy, organic coffee or hand-made crafts. Our vendors are so talented and informative – a walk around the Market Place is a delightful adventure!

The Great Canadian Volkswagen Show will welcome approximately 5000 car enthusiasts and their families to the Langley Events Centre. Air cooled and water cooled, new and old will be on display and ready for judging throughout the park. Families can enjoy taking part in a variety of activities and vendors will be showcasing what’s hot on the market.Entry to the show is free for spectators. The fee for displaying your VW is $25 CAD (save $5 when you pre-reg and pre-order your show shirt at www.gcvws.com - OPEN NOW!). Registration on Sunday morning takes place from 8am to 11am, space cannot be reserved or guaranteed.

BC Day Celebrations @ BC Farm Museum – Fort Langley

The Fraser Valley “G” Scale Model Train Club will set up tracks and will run trains, some steam and some electric, in our back building. Miniature horses will be on display out front, as well as Aldor Acres’ rabbits for the kids to see. Demonstrations of wool carding, spinning and weaving will be given with demonstrations on the museum loom. There will be rope making and knot tying demonstrations. Take a picture of your picture in our “old farm buggy” 12 Noon to 2PM free coffee and Timbits from Tim Horton’s Cruiser on site. Some of our more interesting Stationary Engines will be operating and our volunteers will tell you all about them. The Dempster Windmill will be operating and pumping water. We will sell Orange flavoured drinks for the kids and coffee for others for the old fashioned price of 25 Cents per cup. The popular “Scavenger Hunt” will be available for families to enjoy. Admission by donation at the front door – because we are a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers we suggest a Loonie each.

Our event runs Saturday and Sunday, July 9th and 10th from 10 am to 4pm each day. There will be selected local vendors on hand with plants and assorted lovely items, along with the VanDusen Master Gardeners, live harpist, the Aldergrove Daylily Society and its usual funfilled table and much more! This year, our 'admission by donation' will be to help support the amazing C.A.R.E.S. program that helps rescue local animals! Come out and enjoy the garden at its best!

Fort Langley May Day Celebration

On Monday, May 23rd at 11:00am, the Fort Langley community will be celebrating Victoria Day with the traditional May Day Parade and other festivities along Glover Road in Fort Langley. Arrive early to get a parking spot!
